I don’t know what to do with my life. I just feel stuck and confused and nothing is working. I don’t like my job and feel I should leave, but I’m scared I won’t find anything better. How can intuition help me?
Dear Annie M.
In reading your note, a quote by Oprah Winfrey comes to mind. “We are each responsible for our lives and, more important, the thoughts that create them. If you want your life to be more rewarding, you have to change the way you think.”
What you say when you talk to yourself has a huge impact on what happens in your life. You create your focus through the power of your thoughts and the images you hold in your mind and emotions. When you begin to choose your thoughts in a more conscious fashion, you can begin to shape your destiny.
When I look at your “Ask Lynn” question. Here’s what leaps out at me:
“I don’t know.”
“I don’t like my job.”
How is your intuition tied into this? When you are consistently holding negative or pessimistic thoughts you will feel bad. This is one of the ways your intuition has of signaling you that you’re on the wrong track. It’s as if your bad mood or irritability is your intuition’s early warning system letting you know you’re about to create something less than positive in your life. It’s cautioning you to redirect your thinking.
I’d like you to try this experiment. I’ve seen it work with lots of intuitive reading clients. Perhaps it can help you turn YOUR life around!
Think of something that you really want. Got it? Now spend about thirty seconds saying to yourself, “I’ll never get it. I’m not good enough. I’m not lucky. It will never happen.” You get the idea. Now, how do you feel? Pretty crummy, right? Great! Your intuition was giving you a message to change your thinking!
Try this again. Bring to mind something you’d like to create in your life. Perhaps this is a new job, fun travel or a great relationship. Spend thirty seconds saying the following,
“I’m so excited about having (this thing).”
“I know I’m on the right track.”
“I have what it takes to succeed at this.”
“Good things are coming my way.”
“I’m open to wonderful, new possibilities.”
I’ll bet you feel more positive. Again, this is a message from your intuition. This time your good feelings are an indication that you’re on the right track and sending out the right vibration or energy to attract what you desire. Spiritual teacher Ron Rathbun said it best when he stated, “What you find in your mind is what you put there. Put good things in there.”
So Annie, what good things are you planning to put in YOUR mind? Let me know. I’d love to hear back from you.
